First Visit

DJT_First-Visit-01
Please visit us to experience first-hand compassionate, comprehensive and gentle oral care. Your first appointment with our Office is possibly the most important and involved visit. We are looking forward to meeting you and helping you achieve the smile you always wanted. You get a tour of our impressive Office facility. You get to meet our friendly and courteous team. We LISTEN and take note of all your needs, expectations, wants, desires and concerns. We review your medical and dental history, and pay special attention to any prior dental phobias, fears or unhappy treatment experiences. Your initial appointment will consist of a lengthy consultation, explaining your diagnosis in understandable terms, the pros and cons of treatment recommended, we will provide you with conservative written healthy treatment recommendations with options, and especially the risks or complications if you exercise your unilateral option not to have the recommended treatment. We will discuss the financial involvement of each option of treatment, and the sequential timeframes to have the treatment done. We will develop a plan tailored to your specific dental health needs. A complex medical history or treatment plan will require an Extensive/Comprehensive evaluation and possibly a second appointment on another day. All your questions will be answered, so please do not hesitate to ask.
IMPORTANT: All children two and one half years (2-1/2) to young adult patients under the age of eighteen (18) years of age, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit and all subsequent treatment visits. Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your initial appointment:

  • A list of medications you are currently taking.
  • If you have any dental insurance, please bring the necessary insurance ID cards/forms. This will save time and allow us to fill out the forms for you, with the treatment provided so that you will get the maximum reimbursement for your dental visit.

Radiographs (X-Rays)

DJT_X-Rays-01If your prior dentist or physician has taken Radiographs (X-rays), please pick them up and bring them to our Office. We will take all necessary Radiographs to properly and competently diagnose your oral needs, and to evaluate for cancers and other soft or hard tissue diseases or pathology, not evident visually by just examining your mouth visually.
